Tools to Combat Writers Block

Check out this link for 10 tips to overcome writers block. One of the tips is to use different software; I can’t imagine how that would help. But I do agree sometimes I prefer longhand just for a change of pace.

  1. 1. Take a walk or exercise; ups the metabolism and oxygen. 2. Write something else–*anything*; it defeats inertia. 3. Pick the right music. 4. Food/drink but NOT stuff that lowers blood sugar, makes you sleepy/sluggish or stoned (unless that works for you). 5.Take a short nap. 6.Meditate if that’s your thing. 7.Take any kind of break if you must but just don’t try to escape. 8. If all else fails, come back the next day.
